    Polyurethane Motor Mount and Transmission Mount Combo
    • A true performance application component for cars, trucks, hot rods and racing and competition vehicles yet designed to be also used for street vehicles! Assemble to the chassis the same way as OEM parts.
    • Soft enough to absorb vibrations for street use yet rugged for racing use.
    • When required a torque resistant "safety interlock" design is used that is comparable in strength to those too hard running metal mounts!
    • Replaces the original, short lived and typically too soft rubber mounts and outdates those hard running metal motor mounts.

    Transmission Mounts: The Problem, The Cure

    The O.E. transmission mount is also made of soft rubber. While the rubber is good for dampening noise and vibration, it is susceptible to cracking and splitting. Without a proper functioning transmission mount, excess transmission movement is allowed as well as dangerous torque movement. Energy Suspension's polyurethane mounts are much stronger than the rubber and is not prone to cracking. With the polyurethane transmission mounts, you will have controlled torque and the excess movement will be eliminated.

    Installed motor and trans. mount just because its been 20 years since first put car together. Going in another direction with car. Could not use trans. mount was to tall. clutch throw out fork hit firewall. Have lots of after market parts. (Bell housing,etc..) could have been problem. replaced with one previously installed. May work fine with original parts. Couldnt say. Editors Note: Energy parts are engineered for OEM components. When using aftermarket engine blocks, bell housings or transmissions this could effect the fitment of engine and transmission mounts and the clearance of headers, oil pans, clutch and shifter linkage.

    Trans mount is thicker than the one that was on the car.The one on the car was new, and was not crushed from being old.I cut the cross-member bracket of the cross-member and flopped it over and re-welded backon to lower trans so it would not hit the body.
