Steering Rack Bushings 98-07 Toyota Landcruiser 100 | 98-07 Lexus LX470

These Steering Rack Bushings from SuperPro will enhance the steering of the 1998-2007 Toyota Landcruiser 100 Series and Lexus LX470. By replacing the original rubber steering rack bushings of your Toyota or Lexus with these polyurethane bushings you can eliminate any looseness in the steering wheel or play in your steering column caused by worn bushings.

Loose Steering Wheel?

These steering rack bushings are responsible for keeping the steering rack in place so that you have no difficulty controlling your vehicle. The original rubber bushings flex and bend and can begin to change shape and hollow out with wear. This will allow the steering rack to shift and can compromise your steering whether you're on an Erath county back road or heading down I35.

When the original steering rack bushings wear out you can experience a loose or "jerky" steering wheel and inconsistent steering, but if you're looking for a solution that will keep your steering tight for the life of your Toyota then check out SuperPro's steering rack bushings for the Landcruiser 100 Series.

Durable Performance Replacement

Polyurethane is a much more durable material than rubber and will hold its shape much longer under the strain that the bumps and jolts of driving cause. Since polyurethane bushings are denser you will notice a little more vibration making its way through the steering column, but your steering experience will be much smoother when it comes to response.

These bushings also come with a lifetime warranty from SuperPro that will cover offroad and racing applications. So if you like to get your Landcruiser dirty on the weekends, or take your Lexus to the local track, you can rest assured that your steering rack will be stable.

starstarstarstarstar" Good condition. "

Installed these with the rack in the vehicle. The vehicle has 220,000 miles on it. This job takes some skills and several tools. An air chisel/hammer makes the difference. Some pointers:\nFollow the instructions to remove the worn bushings, the bottom bushings can be removed with chisels as instructed. The tires must be off the ground to be able to lift the rack enough to pull the bushings from underneath. Definitely a job that requires some time, some manual dexterity, and patience, but the unit is repaired and no alignment is required. Good Luck.

Actually they sat in the box for 2 years and I only just installed them last month. The initial result has been great, but have no idea of longevity. Hit me back in 24months and Ill let you know. The instructions could be slightly more helpful with some pro-tips like "locking the steering wheel column before starting the work to eliminate the need for alignment.
