Energy Suspension Transmission Mount '87-'93 Ford Bronco | '03-'14 Ford E150 | '87-'93 Ford F250
This polyurethane transmission mount from Energy Suspension is part of their HyperFlex line which has over 30 years of proven performance history. Energy's Hyperflex Polyurethane Transmission mount is designed to outperform and outlast the aging rubber transmission mount that likely has its best days behind it.
Rubber Transmission Mount Woes
Unless the rubber transmission mount hit the lottery and was lucky enough to be installed in the truck or van that was only driven to church on Sundays by the nice old lady who lives down the street, the rubber is likely worn, cracked, or worst case the rubber in the mount has completely torn. Over time the rubber transmission mount will age and wear out which negatively impacts your vehicle's performance by allowing excessive movement in the drivetrain, accelerating wear or risking damage on these expensive components, as well as preventing the efficient transfer of your engine's power to the wheels. Hauling or towing heavy loads will increase the rate the rubber degrades as well. An indication you may have a worn transmission mount is a clunking noise upon acceleration or deceleration, increased vibration while the motor is running, or in certain scenarios it even becomes difficult to put the vehicle into gear or shift.
New Life and Longevity via Polyurethane
Restoring your vehicle to OE performance and beyond is easily accomplished with the installation of an Energy polyurethane transmission mount. This installation is easily accomplished using standard hand tools. Energy polyurethane is not only able to restore the function of an OE rubber transmission mount but also exceed the performance of rubber in both lifespan and performance. The increased strength of the Hyperflex polyurethane material help limit dangerous torque movement which will ensure your drivetrain will not only survive but thrive throughout the lifetime of the vehicle. Not only is polyurethane stronger it is also unaffected by UV rays, road grime, or vehicle oils which further increase durability over standard rubber mounts and lead to consistent performance over time. Energy has also increased safety by creating a "Polylocked Run-Safe" interlocking design directly into the mount itself, which means that even if things get really out of hand Energy still has your back.
Pushing it to the Limit?
If you routinely expect your vehicle to perform to its full capabilities of hauling and towing or have increased its performance, you have likely surpassed the capabilities of a rubber transmission mount. A polyurethane transmission mount installed will withstand these rigors far better while also delivering long term reliability. However, you know that good can always be great so maximize the longevity and performance of your hard working drivetrain by ensuring both the motor and transmission mounts reap the benefits of polyurethane by installing a set of [polyurethane motor mounts]. Installing polyurethane motor mounts will prepare your drivetrain to be ready to work as hard as you do on a regular basis. However, the polyurethane engine and transmission mount combination may not be an ideal for everyone as polyurethane will transmit slightly more noise and vibration to the driver.
