Energy Suspension Motor Mount Inserts
Energy Suspension's motor mount inserts are crafted out of Hyperflex polyurethane, a material much more durable than rubber that can handle the intense weight, heat, and pressure. Designed to fill the voids built into your OE motor mounts, these inserts will drastically increase the power transfer efficiency from your engine to the wheels. Since the voids were initially put there to reduce NVH, it stands to reason that filling in those voids will have the opposite effect. Installing Energy Suspension's Hyperflex motor mount inserts may increase your NVH, but the increase to overall performance is worth it to some drivers. To top it off, all of Energy's motor mount inserts are covered by a two-year warranty handled in-house here at DST.

The OE Motor Mount
OE motor mounts are usually made out of metal with holes strategically placed to keep most of the engine's vibrations from traveling to the cab. While the OE mounts are decent for the daily driver, the weekend warrior or straight up racer will probably look for an upgrade. Purchasing entire motor mounts can be rather pricey, but what other choices do these drivers have? Energy Suspension's Hyperflex Polyurethane motor mount inserts offer the performance boost of a solid motor mount without the higher cost.

starstarstarstarstar" Very good "
This mounts were very easy to install, Im not a mechanic and I did this job with the right tools but without a lift or other of the professional tools that would have potentially made this job way easier but it doesnt take anything other than the regular tools needed to swap an engine mount to install these, completely plug and play and a perfect fit to the OEM motor mounts.\n\nNow, you know youve put these on because at idle the vibration is increased, specially if you like me install these at the same time you are changing really worn almost inexistent 210K miles motor mounts. The upside to that extra vibration is noticed when you press on the gas pedal and the car wants to pull away almost immediately as were before you could feel a slight delay, maybe, delay is the best word I could use to explain my experience with the behavior of the car now that I know how harder mounts feel, I hope you understand what I mean. I do not race my car. But the way I use my car, mostly commute to work, I like the difference it has made.\nI think theyre very good improvement.

My motor mounts were starting to feel a little soft at 320,000 km so I thought I would give these a go for 35 dollars instead of replacing the motor mounts and the difference in the drivability is incredible. I did not experience any more vibration with these personally. to install these you do not need to take the mounts off of the block, just take the bolt out of the center and unbolt it from the frame. the front one has a stupid tab on the left of the base that prevents you from doing this but you can cut or bend it off easily. the best way we found to install the inserts was with a vice and pressing them in. this allowed us to get them tight enough to install them without trimming them at all. the rear one is pretty bad to get out. do the same process of unbolting the middle bolt and the frame bolt/nuts. you will need to remove your header to have enough room. it helps to take your hangers so you can push your exaust out of the way further and dont be afraid to bend the heat shield. it will come out/go back in fairly easily, you just have to find the right angles which isnt so easy. be careful of the brake lines when youre trying to force it out. \n\n\nthe car feels so smooth on takeoff now its great. no more shuddering and inconsistent feeling in the clutch. customer support was fast and helpful too in all the communications i had with them while i waited for the part to arrive.

Well worth the mod, the rear mount is the hardest to install, and some trimming to the inserts have to be done for proper fitment. Overall the car shakes a bit but its hardly noticable, but the throttle response on the car now is way better. 2 thumbs up from me!!!

increases throttle response and improves vehicle stability. there is an increase in vibration throughout the cabin but it is minor. install the front was an easy install just popped out and popped back in the rear was a more difficult install advise using a pro mechanic for inexperienced users.

- Question:
- Do you have Motor Mounts for the Pontiac Vibe?
- Answer:
The Pontiac Vibe was never tested fully for fitment. However they share the same platform as the Toyota Matrix. There for it could be possible that they share the same part numbers for replacement mounts. That part number is 8.1101 by Energy. This s would be at your own risk because this has not been tested by Energy.
