24mm Rear Sway Bar Bushings | 1991-1997 Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series
Polyurethane Rear Sway Bar Bushings for the 91-97 Landcruiser 80 Series from Energy Suspension will replace pliable OE rubber bushings for greater longevity and a better performing sway bar. The sway bar connects the left and right side wheels and distributes the energy of a turn more evenly across the suspension, but if the bushings that connect the bar to the chassis are worn out or degraded the bar can shift with every steering movement and produce excessive body roll.
* Be sure to measure your sway bar. Some models may need a 25mm bushing.
The Frailty of Rubber
Even commuter driving on well-maintained roads has an effect on rubber bushings since they bend and flex with the torqueing of the sway bar. The bushing essentially changes it's shape with the energy transfer and with enough time and consistent pressure the bushing can change shape permanently. Now, many Landcruiser's are being driven on rougher terrain than an interstate highway and the effect on the original rubber bushings can be accelerated and more pronounced. So from a simple durability perspective rubber bushings may not be the best option.
* DST offers a limited lifetime warranty on Energy Suspension sway bar bushings because in our experience these bushings will outlast the vehicle they are put on.
Don't Replace, Upgrade
This kit includes sway bar bushings and end link grommets which replaces all the rubber connection points of the sway bar with more durable and dependable polyurethane.
Polyurethane sway bar bushings maintain their shape much longer than rubber whether you are dealing with wear caused by driving on unpaved trails or exposure to environmental factors like road salts, coastal climate, heat, or petroleum based chemicals which can begin to decay rubber bushings. Poly bushings do not flex to the extent that rubber does meaning less body roll from a more rigid sway bar and a longer lasting bushing that likely won't need replacing for the life of your Landcruiser. So if you are looking for an easy way to reduce body roll and put some more durable components on your Landcruiser then check out these bushings from Energy Suspension.
