Ford builds trucks to last. As evident by that F series you're restoring that's pushing 40 years young. Unfortunately, not all of the parts on your truck are going to be salvageable for your restoration project. You already know that the body to frame mount bushings are shot and, more than likely, the hardware is rusted beyond repair as well. In addition, it's difficult to determine exactly what you need when the parts are nearly unrecognizable due to corrosion, let alone finding those parts afterward to purchase them. We here at DST have made your task easier with part number DHW001, a Hardware Kit for the body mount bushings on the 73-79 Ford F-Series.

- I see that the kit comes with lower sleeves and new bolts, but with the new poly bushings is there not a need for the top sleeve that came with the rubber bushings from the factory?

- Many sets have strong steel rings that are molded in. Most sets have a strong zinc plated steel ring molded into them for added durability and when the application requires it.

- Do you have the upper retainer for the 79 Ford trucks also or is one not required?

- From the pictures I am looking at looks like the upper mount sits in a cup that may be attached to the cab or sits against the cab and a lower washer with an inner sleeve with a welded on nut.
