  • Moog fulfills their warranty through their individual dealers. That means that in order to receive warranty support, you will have to refer back to the original dealer you purchased the part from. Be sure to check the dealer's warranty support before you buy the part to make sure that they will properly support the warranty. If a dealer will only refer you back to the manufacturer in order to receive warranty support, then you may not actually have any warranty at all.

Part of our warranty process includes reviewing evidence of the defect provided by the customer. This is easily accomplished by providing video or images of the defective part so our staff can verify the claim and move forward with the warranty process. This removes the necessity of shipping the part back to our facility at the customer's expense.

    WARRANTY:

Moog Premium Steering Components carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Moog R-Series Control Arms, Hub Assemblies, and Strut Assemblies carry a 3 Year Warranty.

Moog warranties their parts to be free of defects in materials and/or workmanship during these timeframes as measured from the date of purchase.

If a Moog part should fail due to materials or manufacturing defect while under warranty, we will provide a replacement of the part upon return of the defective part.

Wearable RUBBER parts are not covered under warranty (Dust boots, bushings, bump stops, etc.)

Solve your Tahoe or Suburban's steering problems with Moog's Problem Solver idler arm

Beware Of Big Wheels

Bigger wheels and tires are an excellent way to improve both the aesthetics and performance of your Tahoe. However, it is also important to consider the weight all that rubber adds to your steering. Keep your 2000-2006 Chevy Tahoe's steering on the straight and narrow with a high quality Moog K6534HD heavy duty idler arm.

Problem Solver

Your idler arm is placed opposite of your steering box to support your steering linkage and keep things smoothly swinging side to side. Countless trips down rough roads contribute to wearing out the precise tolerances of the joint inside your idler arm and create poor handling in addition to loose steering. Moog's idler arm from their Problem Solver line works as advertised and is a great solution to solve these problems by tightening up the steering on your Tahoe or Suburban.

Strong Steering

Strengthen your Chevy's steering with a heavy duty Moog idler arm so your Tahoe or Suburban is ready to handle your new tires. Not only does your Chevy's front end have to manage the stress of moving the additional weight of your tires side to side. Your steering also has to manage the additional workload and stress the trails and backcountry adventures your new tires can carry you to.

Urban Adventures

Dirt and rocks aren't the only danger for you and your SUV's. Your steering also gets beat up by all the potholes on the road and the abuse they can dish out. Covering thousands and thousands of miles of roads that seem like they want to fight back can be rough on your vehicle. Keep your Chevy's front end fresh with Moog's heavy duty idler arm built tough with a stronger stud to handle whatever the road throws at you.

question_answer Customer Questions and Answers

Question:
I'm trying to see what is the difference between a regular one and HD version for the idler arm and pitman arm. if i can get more details..

The main difference is the stud. The HD pitman and idler stud has better heat treating to make it less likely to break.

Question:
I'm getting unsure info from local parts houses and cant find one of my parts numbers on this site. I want an idler arm and a pitman arm. They keep asking me if I have a three or four spline. I don't know and don't plan to disassemble till I have parts.
Answer:
You have to know if you have a 3 or 4 groove pitman arm. Put this link in a Google or Yahoo search: https://www.suspension.com/blog/how-to-identify-your-pitman-arm/.
