Rear Trailing Arm Bushings - Rear Position Subaru BRZ + WRX + Scion FRS 2012-
These Polyurethane Rear Trailing Arm Bushings by SuperPro will fit the rear position of the rear trailing arm from the 2009 Subaru Forester to the 2015 Scion FRS, plus other Subaru models. By replacing the original rubber bushings with polyurethane your trailing arm's connection to the knuckle will be much more secure. This means a stable toe angle, even tire wear, and consistent thrust angle when accelerating quickly.
SuperPro Rear Trailing Arm Bushings Fit...
Steel and Rubber
The rear trailing arm on your Subaru or Scion is responsible for keeping the knuckle connected and aligned with the subframe. This is a difficult job that can test that steel arm and will eventually destroy the rubber bushings that make up the connection point between the knuckle and the arm.
Rubber is a great vibration absorber but it doesn't hold alignment angles well, especially over time. The original bushings will flex and allow the arm to shift which can change the alignment of your rear wheel. This can cause your tires to wear unevenly and prematurely and change the thrust angle of your Subaru when driving and during take-offs.
Secure Trailing Arm Connection
If you're looking for a permanent solution to this problem then SuperPro's Polyurethane Rear Trailing Arm Bushings for the rear position will hold your trailing arms in place much longer than the original rubber bushings can. These polyurethane bushings do not flex like rubber and will keep the toe angle of your rear wheels stable during quick acceleration and braking and also maintain a steady thrust angle which will make centering your car after a turn much easier.
The Durable Bushing
SuperPro's polyurethane rear trailing arm bushings not only provide stable rear wheel toe angle but they are also much more durable than the original bushings. The elements and daily wear will cause rubber bushings to degrade until they are loose and allow the trailing arm to clunk around after every bump. These bushings are backed up by a lifetime warranty that includes off-road and racing applications, which we will handle for you in-house at DST.
One thing to consider about switching to polyurethane bushings is that along with a firmer connection between the wheels and the subframe you will experience more road feel in the cabin. This may seem like a downside but the increase in road feel is pretty small compared to the increase in alignment stability and performance.
