The Track Bar (track arm, panhard bar) helps keep the front or rear axle aligned with the center line of your vehicle, but if the bushings holding it in place are worn then the bar, and your axle could shift left or right. This is a notorious problem with Jeep Wranglers especially but can affect any live axle vehicle, causing driftage when driving straight and steering problems with a front axle.
