Solve your Mustang's shifting issue
Look the new Mustang is great, but it's shifting ability, not so much. Many people are complaining that the transmission is missing the shift from first to second if you try to shift while accelerating, and higher horsepower Mustangs the transmission even misses the shift from third to fourth. Not only is this extremely annoying, but this can be very dangerous to your transmission. This led Whiteline to design KDT928.
Voids: Problem Causers
The issue is caused by the heavily voided OE transmission mount. The voids flex and allow the transmission to move laterally, which takes your vehicle out of alignment, and once it's out of alignment if you try to shift aggressively or shift on the corners, you're going to miss some shifts. Now some flexibility is desirable, as it's that flexibility in the transmission mount that absorbs vibration and reduces road noise. However, this mount is poorly designed and the flexibility is in the entirely wrong place. The KDT928 will help to solve this problem. This insert fits directly into the mount to fill that void, reducing the unwanted movement and giving you the smooth upshifting that you desire. This is super simple to install and the insert just pushes right into your existing mount. As far as car parts go, it's pretty simple to install anyway.
The MT82 Transmission Mount Insert
This part is a positive shift kit transmission mount insert for the 2011 through 2014 Mustang. This insert is only for the MT82 transmission, so this part won't fit the GT500. You will want to make sure that you have the MT82 transmission on your Mustang. The best and quickest way to do that is to call your local Ford dealership, give them your VIN and they should be able to tell you what transmission you have.

This part has performed great there has been no problems of being locked out of gears under high rpm shifts. One of the best mods I have put on the car it has done its job from track to the Dyno to driving on the street.

I installed the part last weekend and took it right back off again. I was very dissatisfied because of all the vibration. I cut the flat square piece off and that helped but after awhile of driving the vibration seemed to increase. when I got home today I took it off and threw it away. Ill just cut my loss and go on. Editors Note: Polyurethane shifter bushings are stiffer than the OEM they replaced. The customer will feel more vibration. The upside is a more positive gear engagement.

Product was inexpensive and shipped very quickly. After reading some reviews and worrying about the possibility of the center section rubbing the cross brace, I removed 3/8" prior to installing. I have not noticed any additional NVH (granted I have poly bushings, lowered, etc.) Overall I am pleased with the product. I have not had a chance to test it at the track but 2-3 shifts have felt firm and secure. I have recommended this product to others.
