Improving Your Vehicle's Reaction Time
As you drive, the power from your engine travels through the driveshaft into the differential. The differential's task is to divide the engine's power between the wheels. As you accelerate or decelerate the amount of power moving through the differential changes. The bushings that mount the differential to the frame are designed to hold the differential in place as firmly as possible. The issue is that your OE differential bushings are made of rubber, a material prone to flexing, cracking, and rotting away. As the bushings flex the differential is allowed to shift, causing your vehicle to react much slower to accelerations or braking.
Whiteline offers differential bushings made of synthetic elastomer. This elastomer is much sturdier than the OE rubber, capable of easily fending off both physical wear and road contaminants. In addition to this added durability, Whiteline's differential bushings are much firmer than OE rubber. This firmness allows the bushings to maintain a better hold on the differential, keeping it from shifting and therefore enhancing your vehicle's reaction time.
